The Ben Woolf Fund
We – Ben’s immediate family – would be honored if you would like to make a donation on Ben’s behalf to a charity that furthers the causes that meant so much to Ben. He loved animals, children, and laughter, but most of all he believed in himself and that you could accomplish whatever you want despite the challenges. We have selected four charities that reflect Ben’s values.
Please donate either through The Ben Woolf Fund, or directly to one of the charities. If you donate through The Ben Woolf Fund, donations will be spent first on at least two memorial “BENches” for the LA County Parks and Santa Barbara County Parks. Ben loved walking all over town as many of you know, and sometimes we all need to rest. These BENches will provide lovely places to sit and marvel at the beauty of our world on Ben’s behalf. The remaining donations will be spent on the four charities. If you would like to specify the charity where your donation goes, please let us know.
If you prefer to donate directly to one of the charities, we have provided a link. If you donate directly we request that the donation be in Ben’s honor.
Storyteller Children’s Center provides quality, tuition-free early childhood education for homeless and at-risk children in Santa Barbara County, as well as comprehensive support services for their families.
We help children in Central America improve their lives through education. We believe that the ability to read is both personally empowering and essential to a child’s ability to imagine, pursue and realize a better life. See more at: online at Child Aid’s website.
Little People of America (LPA) is a nonprofit organization that provides support and information to people of short stature and their families. LPA is only able to continue our work with support from members, friends and family. Please consider making a donation today.
Actors and Others for Animals is a California non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion of the humane treatment of animals. Our main mission is to curb the pet overpopulation problem by subsidizing spay/neuter surgeries. Together with other vital services, we are there to help pet guardians living on a low and/or fixed income care for their beloved companions. We are a community based animal welfare organization serving the greater Los Angeles area and surrounding counties.
